Autumn Carnival in Early March to be held in Albury!
Hello all,
Please find attached the information and entry form for the Autumn carnival being held in Albury from the 11th to the 13th of March 2017. For those of you in Victoria or ACT this is also a long weekend.
This carnival is a great chance for your team/association preseason.
Entry numbers are limited, so get your entry forms in early. Closing date is 31 January.

2017 Twilight Competition
Subject: Twilight for January/February
Hi all Clubs,
Please let your members know that twilight will run again in 2017 on a Monday night.
Nominations are open and will close on Tuesday 20 December. We need a minimum of 8 teams for the competition to go ahead. If you are considering putting in a twilight team, please make sure you get it in on time. No late entries accepted.

16 January, 23 January, 30 January, 8 February, 15 February, 22 February, 29 February & 6 March.

Bunnings Albury BBQ!
Hello all.
Norths Hockey Club has secured a date for a fundraising BBQ at Bunnings Albury on Sunday 18 December.
This is a great opportunity for the club to raise lots of money which in turn will benefit Norths Junior and senior players.
The BBQ is to be run from 9-4, and the committee has done up a roster for the day.
We need a minimum of 4 people for each time slot.
Please see below your teams designated time period, and we are hoping that you can rustle up some of your teams players to help out. We are only asking for 1 hour of time from each team.
8am – Set up – Committee
9am – Div 2 women white
10am – Div 2 women blue
11am – Div 2 men
12pm – Div 1 women
1pm – Div 1 men
2pm – Div 3 women
3pm – Div 3 men
4pm – Clean and pack up – Committee
When you get your volunteers, can you please email there names through to the club.

Dear players
Australian Kookaburra Chris Ciriello and his coaching team are wanting to run several coaching clinics for all junior and senior players and coaches
The dates set are Sat 3rd of December and Sunday 4th Dec.
Up to 4 sessions are being offered
Saturday 3rd 1.30pm to 3.30pm
4.00pm to 6.00pm
Sunday 4th 8.00am to 10am
10.30am to 12.30pm
Each session can cater for up to 30 players including 4 goal keepers. With 10 players per coach
The cost per player is $95.00 for the 2 hour session with Chris Ciriello.
For new younger players we can offer a 1 hour session at $45 per player.
Goal keeping Coaching is also part of our Coaching Academy, please let me know how many Goalies that may be interested again Juniors and Seniors
We like to keep the Goalie groups to a max of 4 per session in their age groups. Each Goal Keeper will be given a 5 page document from the Coaching Academy
In 2015 Chris was rated by FIH in the top 5 players in World. Chris’s vision has been to give back to the country kids across the state which the Academy has been doing since February this year, we are so proud that Boys and Girls from the country that have made state sides that attended our development coaching clinics.
Time is short as Chris is being booked up fast in other areas. We need to know numbers by 6pm Friday 18th November 2016
We need at least 60 people in order for this clinic to go ahead

Vale Owen Jennings
It is with great sadness I report that Owen Jennings passed away yesterday of a heart attack.
Owen was a respected player and coach of both Albury City Hockey Club and Norths Hockey Club. Many of our members were coached by, or played with Owen.
We offer our condolences to his family and share their grief with this sad loss.
